Mamma Mia
Mamma Mia the musical is a heart warming story of young lover and family loyalty. The young Sophie is set to marry on the small Greek Island where her mother, Donna, lives.
The musical sees the preparation for the wedding as Donna ensures the bed and breakfast she runs is perfectly prepared and Sophie begins a secret mission to find her father. However, the summer in which she was conceived was a particularly busy one for Donna as there are three men that could be Sophie’s father.
The musical has a host of hysterical scenes as Donna tries to avoid her past lovers but is faced to confront them. There are also touching scenes of mother daughter relationships and young love as Sophie embarks on the start of the rest of her life. The story is told through the music of Abba and includes a range of their hit songs. The popularity of their music ensures that the audiences sing along creating a fantastically fun atmosphere.
The performance is currently showing at the Prince of Wales Theatre where it moved to in 2004 from the Prince Edward Theatre. The musical is a hit on the West End with sell out shows so Mamma Mia tickets are not easy to come buy at the last minute.
